Come as you are...

We're an Anglican Christian community gathering across Stratford, Briagolong, Munro and Dargo in beautiful Gippsland.

Whether you've followed Jesus for years, haven't been inside a church for decades, or aren't quite sure what you believe - you're welcome to come and see.

The Avon River flows through the heart of our community, gathering water from many different streams

along the way. It offers us an image for the kind of parish we believe God is calling us to be: people from

different backgrounds, generations and journeys drawn together in Christ, finding a place to belong, grow

and worship.

Here we seek to recognise, nurture and share the gifts God has given each of us, not only for the life of the

church, but to be set free in loving service of the communities of which we are already a part. In our love for this place and its people, we seek to contribute to a flourishing community, allowing God's love to flow through us in many different ways, bringing life, hope and blessing wherever it goes.

Find a Service

We gather on Gunaikurnai Country.

We acknowledge the Gunaikurnai people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands and waters on which the Parish of Avon gathers. We honour their Elders past and present, their children and generations to come, and their continuing connection to Country, culture and community.

Our History

We have been serving the community for over 150 years, providing a space for people to come together and connect. Our founders believed in the transformative power of faith, and we continue to hold that belief close to our hearts.

Our Beliefs

At Avon Anglicans, we believe in the power of love, forgiveness, and grace. We strive to live out these values in our daily lives, and we hope to inspire others to do the same. We believe that everyone has a purpose and a place in this world, and that we are all connected in ways we may not even realise.

At Avon Anglicans, we believe in the importance of community and coming together to support one another. We offer a variety of programs and events, from weekly worship services to youth groups and social gatherings.
